| 1. MOUNT
ARAID
a.
Turn the computer off.
b.
Remove the primary drive from computer
c.
Mount the ARAID unit into an open
5-1/4" drive bay.

| 2. Connect
Cables
a.
Connect an EIDE or SATA cable from
the PC drive port to the ARAID.
b.
Attach the power cable

3. Attach Drives
a.
Insert your pre-existing hard disk
or a blank disk (for new systems)
into a tray and slide it into the
ARAID's top bay.
b.
Insert a hard drive into a tray and
slide it into the ARAID's bottom bay.
ALL PRE-EXISTING data on this disk
will be overwritten.

Boot
a.
Power on the computer. The computer
will boot off the pre-existing, drive
in the upper bay.
b.
ARAID
will automatically begin copying the
primary drive to the secondary drive
in the lower bay when the mode switch
is changed from “Single”
to “Default”.

5. Protect
Your Data!
a.
ARAID automatically writes to both
drives so you always have a 100% backup
in the event of a disk failure.
b.
Using a third drive and tray with
ARAID allows you to keep archive copies
off-site similar to magnetic tape,
but faster, easier and more economical.
